    Born: March 31, 1954 in Elgin, N.D.
    High School: Graduated from Mott (N.D.) High School, 1972.
    College: Graduated from Dickinson State College, 1974.

    Kleinjan joined KDIX in Dickinson while attending college and has worked at the radio station ever since. He has been chosen state sportscaster of the year five times, in 1992, 2004, 2009, 2014, 2021. The press box at Biesiot Activity Center in Dickinson is named in his honor. Kleinjan played basketball at Dickinson State as a freshman.
