Born: January 29, 1958 in Fall River, Mass.
High School: Graduated from Dighton/Rehoboth (Mass.), 1976.
College: Graduated from C.W. Post College of Long Island, N.Y., 1980.

After graduating from college, Cole took a position at KUMV-TV in Williston and has been covering sports at the station ever since. He is a five-time winner of the state sportscaster of the year award (1983, 1998, 2003, 2006, 2007). When a new high school was built in Williston in 2016, the gymnasium was named "Jon Cole Gymnasium'' in his honor. He is a member of the Williston State College Boosters Hall of Fame. Williston had a day in his honor and Cole was recipient of the 2018 Williston Chamber of Commerce award.
