    Born: December 28, 1928 in Lisbon, N.D.
    Died: January 22, 2021 in Dickinson, age 92.
    High School: Graduated from Lisbon High School, 1946.
    College: Graduated from Beck School of Broadcasting, Minneapolis.

    After graduating from college, Weiler took a job at KDIX Radio in Dickinson and, first on radio and later on television, remained at the station for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-52. After being discharged, Weiler returned to KDIX and in 1953 became the station's sports play-by-pay announcer -- a role he maintained until 1983. Weiler continued working at KDIX until 2001. He won the Pioneer award for radio in 1989. Weiler is a member of the Dickinson Trinity Titan Hall of Fame.
